Abstract

363,707. Signs. HOBKIRK, W. T., 26, Bunyan Road, Kempston, Bedfordshire. Sept. 18, 1930, Nos. 27954 and 32644. [Class 3 (ii).] A sign-post comprises a polygonal casing g having as many sides 1 .. 4 as there are diverging roads, each side being disposed at right-angles to the line of approach and having in its own plane a projection in the shape of an arrow head or the like forming a direction indicator. The casing may be internally illuminated, or the direction wording &c. may be formed of reflex lenses to show up when illuminated by vehicle lamps. Coloured lamps 9, 10, 11 for traffic control may show through coloured lenses in the casing, mirrors 5 .. 8 within the casing illuminating the faces 1 .. 4 with correspondingly coloured light.
