Abstract

277,008. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Byrnes, I. F.). Sept. 1, 1926, [Convention date]. Thermionic generators.-To reduce the effective capacity across the crystal 6 of a piezo-electrically controlled oscillator, the crystal is connected in series with the grid-filament spaces of a pair of valves 1, 2. The valves are arranged in push-pull relation with impedances 7, 8 in their respective grid circuits, and with their plates connected to opposite ends of a coil 10 approximately tuned by a condenser 11 to the crystal frequency. The plate battery 3 is connected to the mid-point of the coil 10.
