276,970. Waterbury Tool Co., (Assignees of Fowler, H. P.). Sept. 1, 1926, [Convention date]. Driving arrangements. - In appara. tus for driving hydraulically a number oi machines, or sections of machines, simultaneously, e.g. in paper making plants, means are provided whereby the speeds of the machines are adjusted individually or collectively. The hydraulic driving mechanism is. preferably of the type described in Specifications 13894/07, 13895/07, and 13897/07, [all in Class 69, Hydraulic machinery &c.], and the swashplates of the pumps or motors may be adjusted simultaneously by a shaft 30 connected by worm gearing to nuts 28, held against axial movement and engaging screwed spindles 26<1>. The spindles are jointed at 27, so that their upper portions may be rotated to obtain individual adjustment. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 171,570.
