Sheet-cutting machines.-In web-tensioning devices for biscuit and like machines, of the kind in which the web 3 passes over or under rollers 2 carried by arms 4 mounted on a shaft 5, the arms are operated by a shaft 8 furnished with a worm 7 engaging a worm-wheel 6 secured to the shaft. The gearing 6, 7 is enclosed by a cover 10 bolted to the framework 1, such cover being provided with bearings for the shaft 8.
