Abstract

276,102. Herbert, H. A. W. June 8, 1926. Endless chain carriers, apparatus with.- Apparatus for displaying advertisements &c. of the kind having display panels mounted on parallel transverse carriers supported on endless chains, has the panels slidingly mounted on the carriers which are yieldingly connected together and which are independently removable from the chains. The endless chains 4 are connected by rods 15. The display panels 21 have turned over edges and are slidably mounted on the carriers 9. The sarriers are provided at their ends with a pair of plates 12 formed with tubular lugs 11, one plate being fixed to its carrier and the other slidable in guides 14 and restrained by a spring 13, so as to permit relative movement of the carriers as the chains pass round the driving sprockets 2. Plates 17 are slidably mounted on the rods 15 and carry pins 19 adapted to engage the tubular lugs of a pair of adjacent carriers. By pressing the plates 17 outwardly a carrier can be removed and the panels detached.
