The plates a, a<1> are transferred by wheeled carriers B, B' fitted with pawls F, F' which engage slots G, G<1> in the plates. The carriers B, B<1> slide in upper and lower guides C, and are actuated by a member E reciprocated by a rod, strap or chain attached to a link on an endless moving chain H.
