Fixed-bucket conveyers and elevators; carriers, attaching to chains.-In endless-chain bucket conveyers, elevators, digging or dredging machines, one or more channels 10 are formed in the back of each bucket 7 which are entered by the tops 1b of the teeth of the sprocket 1 as the portions of the sprocket between its teeth are worn away. Alternate links of the chain 2 are provided with plate 6 to which the buckets are secured by bolts 8.
