Abstract

1340183 Endless chain excavators GIMDA Inc 2 Dec 1970 [8 Dec 1969 21 Sept 1970] 59883/69 and 44950/70 Heading E1F [Also in Division F2] In a trench digging apparatus comprising a jib 11 having trained therearound an endless chain 16 carrying cutter teeth 17, the jib is arranged to be raised and lowered by a pair of chains 2 carrying teeth 9 which engage a series of apertures 12 in the jib, and some of the links of the chains 2 are not formed with teeth 9 in order to provide a clearance through which the jib can be lifted from between the chains 2.
