Abstract

Sept. 26, 1925 Endless-track vehicles.-The rigid guide-frame for the endless track comprises two similar members 1, 2, Fig. 2, disposed facing each other so that they form an inner channel for the chain 8 to which the tread carriers 7 are pivoted and an outer channel in which guide rollers 9 on the tread carriers run. The guide-frame members may be rigidly secured to the vehicle by supports 3, Fig. 1, or they may be pivoted thereto so as to rock in a vertical plane, being also connected to the vehicle by a telescopic spring connection 12. The tread plates 5 may be fixed to the tread carriers as shown in Fig. 2, or, as shown in Fig. 3, they may be fixed to two-armed levers 6<1>, which are pivoted to the tread carriers and are also provided with a resilient connection 14.
