Abstract
282,455. Kegresse, A. Dec. 20, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 263,863. Endless-track vehicles.-Relates to continuously-flexible endless tracks of the kind in which a pneumatic or other tyre is detachably secured to a band forming the roller path, and comprises a track in which the roller path and the securing bead for the tyre are so situated relatively to each other that they have the same developed length, and therefore have no tendency to relative longitudinal movement. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the band or roller path 1 is connected to the tyre 3 by cross-bars 2<1> which extend across the full width of the track and are arranged almost in contact with each other, the beads 7 of the tyre 3 being in the same plane as inextensible cables or the like 4 secured to the bars 2<1>. In the construction shown in Fig. 5, the roller path comprises two separate bands 1<1> 'which may be secured to the bars 2' either by riveting or by having the edges of the bars pressed over on to the bands as shown.
