[Class 80 (i)] [See also Group XXV] Relates to a chain belt of the type in which capsules 1 holding pads 3 of leather or the like are mounted on opposite sides of a flat-link roller chain. According to the invention, the capsule is of circular form with a substantially continuous inturned edge 2 to hold the pad. A portion 2<a> of the edge of the capsule may be cut away to clear the face of the pulley. The capsules 1 are spaced apart by the shouldered pivot pins of the chain.
