Reel and endless-web apparatus; prisms rotating.-Pictures, advertisements, &c. displayed in sections on a number of independently rotatable members moved in succession intermittently have the movement masked by sheet metal screens p carried by links of an endless chain n. The pictures may be on pivoted flat plates or triangular prisms, or on slats i supported by plates i<1> in clips j<3> on endless belts j passing over square rollers k mounted in pairs on spindles l. Pins k<1> on the rollers k engage holes in the belt j and plates i<1>. The front rollers k carry Geneva-stop members q engaged by extended connecting pins at the hinges of the chain n and held locked by lateral extensions on all links of the chain n except those provided with operating pins. The slats i are preferably of a width a multiple of a side of a roller k, and may be mounted out of parallel with the belt j so as to be better seen when mounted in a high position. The rotatable members, together with the Geneva-stop elements, may be mounted in a frame slidable within an outer casing.
