The board may be in the form of an endless band i passing over rollers k, l, and is held flat at its front side by a fixed support n, or by rods, &c. A guard o prevents the letters &c. falling out as they pass round the underside of the roller l; or the laths may be divided along the middle for flexing and contiguous halves, with the letters between them, be held rigid by removable clamps.
