Abstract

Fixed-abutment type; packing drums; inspection of internal parts, facilitating; mounting rotors on shafts; balancing moving parts.-The lateral closing walls of the working space of a rotary compressor are formed by rotating discs m which are situated in chambers x supplied with lubricating fluid under the delivery pressure. The discs m together with the rotor h can move axially on the shaft to take up position with respect to the casing liner ! l which is held in position by distance pieces u, v, w. The shaft is supported against end pressure by a load and thrust bearing f and has a duct t supplying lubricating fluid to the outwardly sliding vanes of the rotor.
