Cores and carcass structures.-The stator of a dynamo-electric machine is formed of rectangular laminations A with rounded corners in a cylindrical casing C. The stator is built upon a mandrel, secured by bolt H, wound, and impregnated outside the casing into which it is then inserted. A key D secured to the casing by screws E, F engages with a key-way G on the laminations. The screw E is formed with a head serving as a stop to retain the laminations in position for the screw F to engage a hole in them.
