Abstract
424,169. Cores for dynamo electric m a chi ne s. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London. Aug. 30, 1934, No. 25014. Convention date, Aug. 30, 1933. [Class 35] Casings.-In a fabricated stator, the laminµ are secured to an axial supporting member by plates interspersed in the laminµ, the plates having a projecting portion conforming to the supporting member and welded thereto, and transverse bars are located in notches in the plates and laminae and are welded thereto. In the form shown, intermediate plates 6, 7 and core end plates 4, 5 are welded to the support 1 which is so arranged as to enable the machine to be mounted on a vehicle axle and these plates and the laminµ 3 have grooves to receive bars 19 welded thereto. The plates 6, 7 have extended portions 16, 17 for supporting the machine and an axial reinforcing plate 25 is welded to these portions, and to the end plates 4, 5. The shoes 41 of the main poles have slots to receive bars 43 into which are screwed bolts countersunk in the bars 19. The bearing supporting plates 21, 30 are secured to the core structure by welded plates and are welded to the support 1.
