Abstract

Reflectors; optical-projection apparatus.- In light projection apparatus, gases and vapours from an electric arc are prevented from being deposited upin the reflector, lens, or glass cover by means of an air or other gas current directed from the periphery towards the centre. In the form shown, a current of gas supplied by a tube 3 issues through openings 4 inclined obliquely and tangentially towards the surface of a reflector 1. The current forms eddies around the centre of the reflector and than flows past the arc 2' guiding the vapours into the open air through suitable escape ducts.
