Abstract

268,114. Statham, N. March 1, 1926. Metal-strip fastenings.-A slider, for opening aud closing the snap fasteners of pouches and bags as described in Specification 233,634, comprises a central web 18 having at one end the closing members 20 and at the other end a wedge-shaped opening member 21, the exposed edges of the member 21 being bevelled. The members 20 are channelled at 19 to receive either beads and guide strips on the edges of the pouch or the fasteners which may act to guide the slide. The member 21 is brazed to the web 18 and may be channelled at 24 and cut away at 26 to receive the stud heads, or simply engages and separates the. beaded edges.
