Seat adjustments; revolving s e a t s ; rests, back.-An adjustable seat comprises an apertured junction member 8 carried by legs 5, 6, a supporting column 14 for the seat member 23 having a rack 16 thereon and being mounted in the member 8 and centrally of the legs, and a housing 18 carried by the member 8 and having g mounted therein a worm 19 and a gear wheel 17 by which the seat member may be vertically adjusted. The pivoted back-rest 38 may be adjustably mounted on the member 27, which is angularly adjustable by means of its lower arcuate portion which engages an arcuate seating 26 and can be clamped in position by a bolt 28 and nut 29 carrying a pivoted operating handle 31. The seat member 23 may be rotatably mounted at 24.
