Abstract

215,137. Gridner, F. L., and Bendix, C. J. Feb. 23, 1923. Revolving seats; adjustments; back-rests; frames.-In a vertically adjustable rotatable seat, the means for fixing the seat member at any desired height comprise a coned splif clamping ring 9, tightened on the seat stem 5 by the screw 11, and a coned leg-carrying plate 3, connection between the two parts being maintained by the plate 14, screwed to the part 3 and engaging a shoulder 13 on the ring 9. The seatsupporting member may consist of a rim 7 attached to the stem 5 by diagonal arms 6, and the curved legs 1 may be secured at their lower ends to the central tube 4 by tubular stays 16. The pivoted tubular back-rest support 17 may be held in adjusted position by a pin engaging holes in the parts 21, 19, and the back-rest itself may consist of a curved plate 25 pivoted to arms 30 on a vertically adjustable post 31.
