[Class 52 (ii).] An adjustable chair comprises a seat portion 3 angularly adjustable about pivots 2 on a base 1, the pivots passing through or near the combined centre of gravity of the seat and its occupant within the range of angular movement, together with irreversible means, such as screw and nut mechanism 8, 9, operable by the occupant, for adjusting the seat. An adjustable leg rest may be pivoted at 14, being operable by the mechanism 19 .. 24.
