Hubs.-A hub cap is detachably secured to the hub by the interengagement of a spring member on the one part and a projecting element on the other part. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the cap 3 is fitted with a plate spring 5 adapted to snap behind the coned edge 2 of the flanged end 4 of the hub 1. In the modification shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the cap 7 carries a pair of studs 8 adapted to engage bayonet-slots 9 in the flanged end of the hub 6. In the assembled position of the cap, the pointed ends of the studs 8 enter apertures in springs 10 secured to the hub flange. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also a further modification in which the cap 13, Fig. 7 (Cancelled), is secured by a split spring ring 15 received in a groove 14 of the cap and forming an abutment against the end flange 12 of the hub 11. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
