Tabular calculators.-A computing device for a weighing scale for indicating the costs of various weights of commodities at various prices per unit-weight comprises in combination two bands each provided at one side with like numbers adapted to be wound on and off two pairs of rollers, and driving means common to the two pairs of rollers for setting the series of cost numbers corresponding to any desired price per unit-weight, at both sides of the weighing scale immediately above the graduations of the weight dial. Two bands c, c<1>, Fig. 2 (Cancelled), operated by gearing from a hand wheel h are adjusted according to the price per unit-weight so as to bring a series of product figures representing the cost of the commodity into position behind openings A at both sides of the machine, immediately above a scale of weights s, Fig. 1 (Cancelled) over which the weight-indicating pointer is moved and set by the weight of the goods. The digits of the individual cost indications are arranged one below another, as shown. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a computing device wherein the cost indications are normally obscured by flaps K, the desired indication being disclosed by adjusting a pointer z, by means of a knob u, to the requisite weight indication on the scale s, then pulling down the knob so as to take with it the corresponding flap and expose the cost indication. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
