[Classes 3 (i) and 116] In apparatus for indicating to a purchaser when a bonus is to be paid an indicator member corresponding to a predetermined price or range of prices is displaced by the salesman after each purchase to produce an indication which can be observed by the customer and to produce a special indication when a bonus is to be paid. The apparatus may include a number of independent indicators corresponding to a number of prices or ranges of prices. As shown, each drum 4 carries a number of indicating marks 3 which are sequentially exposed through an apertured member 2, the salesman effecting the step-by-step adjustment of the appropriate drum through gears 8, 9, 10, 11 rotated by a knob after each purchase. After a number of purchases of a standard amount, the corresponding drum exposes a different indication 3 at the window 2 and/or a bell may be rung. Each drum has a ratchet wheel 7 engaged by a pawl 6 to prevent reverse rotation.
