Blocks and shoes acting on drums.-A brakeoperating lever for attachment to a cam or other device for applying brake shoes to a drum, comprises a pair of plates a riveted, brazed, or otherwise secured together and cranked at the ends a<1> to form a forked part to which a rod or other operating means is secured, an aperture being formed in the other end of the plates to receive the cam spindle. This aperture may be serrated for keying on to the spindle.
