Abstract

264,861. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. Jan. 23, 1926, [Convention date]. Electromagnets.-Sponge iron is employed as the fundamental material in the manufacture of magnet cores, as for example, in loading coils. The sponge iron is crushed and mixed with insulating material or with a binding medium and is subjected to pressure. Other metals in powder form may be mixed with the crushed sponge iron to form the fundamental magnetic material.
