Description
Process for the production of magnetic cores from finely divided iron with the addition of electrical insulating materials. It is known to have magnetic cores high electrical resistance due to the compression of finely divided iron with to produce ferromagnetic iron oxides. The latter are said to be the iron particles isolate from each other to prevent eddy currents, and at the same time as a result of them ferromagnetic properties form bridges for the magnetic lines of force.
According to the invention, however, the magnetic chromium oxides are used for this purpose used with particularly good success that z. B. by heating chromic acid receives. They form a powder of extraordinary fineness, so that one for isolation only need to add about 6 to 8 percent of the same to the iron powder. You get in this way magnetic powder, which with the help of non-ferromagnetic Insulating materials produced are particularly superior to a particularly high degree.
