789,099. Magnetic compositions. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. July 22, 1955 [July 27, 1954], No. 21275/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (2). A magnetic material having a substantially rectangular hysteresis loop and coercivity less than 3 is made by sintering at between 1200‹ and 1600‹ C. a mixture of oxides of magnesium manganese, iron and optionally zinc, and cooling as rapidly as possible without cracking the sintered body. Before sintering, the methylcellose and water might be added to the mixed oxides which are afterwards moulded. Suitable propertions of oxides and values of magnetic properties of the final material are specified. Specifications 735,375 and 788,727 are referred to.
