Abstract

261,170. Tomkins, A. U. Oct. 29, 1925. Hand-trucks.-Means for swinging a motor or similar vehicle in a confined space comprises a low wheeled frame provided with a pair of ramps f adapted to pivot about a longitudinal member b of the frame and spaced apart to suit the car wheels, the ramps automatically rocking on the longitudinal member when one pair of the car wheels is run up on the ramps, whereupon the wheels are temporarily supported by the wheeled frame clear of the ground so that the car may be swung around on the frame and the other pair of its wheels. The axes of the wheels e of the frame converge to a centre which is under the rear axle of the car and the axles d of the wheels e are braced by the members b, a, the latter member forming a support for the ramps in their tilted position. The ramps may be adjustable on the member b and a detachable handle for moving the frame may be connected to either axle d.
