Abstract

260,522. Hyde, N. July 5, 1926. Adjustable hinged multiple-support handles with screwed sockets. - Handles are fixed to broom heads &c. by a frame secured to the head and having a threaded member with which engages a screw a short distance from the end of the handle so that rotation of the handle causes the handle end to be forced into engagement with the hand. The ends a<1> of the inclined arms a of the frame are secured by screws &c. d to the ends of the broom head c the centre portion b is formed with an internally threaded boss e engaged by a threaded sleeve f on the handle g. When the handle is rotated the handle end is forced into one of the holes i, i<1> in the broom head.
