Abstract

177,470. Trengrove, H. V. Oct. 10, 1921. Hinged handles; clamping and contracting devices for socket fixings.- A device of the kind for securing a paint or other brush to a. pole or longarm so that it is adjustable angularly comprises a tapered socket A which is clamped on the brush handle by a screw B, and is hinged to a cylinder C which is split at G and provided with a, thumb screw F for clamping the cylinder C on to the pole. The hinge comprises four corrugated discs D two of which are secured to the opposite sides of the cylinder C and interlock with the other two which are secured to the socket A, a clamping pivot screw E connecting the discs.
