[Class 61 (i).] A broom handle fixing socket has a tapered lower part 9 threaded on the outside to screw into the hole in the broom head and has a hole or holes 5<a> in the wall of the upper part to receive a handle fixing screw or screws, the outside surface of the upper part being knurled at 12 to facilitate the screwing of the lower part into the hole in the broom.
