Abstract
187,618. Lenief, A. Oct. 19, 1921, [Con-- vention date]. Recessed-back handles for brushes; screwed fixings.-The head 5 of a tooth brush, Figs. 1 and 2, is removably secured in a recess or socket in the part 4 of the handle by means of a fixed point or projection 8 engaging a hole or recess 7 in one end of the head 5 and the point 3 of a screwed projection 2 formed on or fixed to the part 1 of the handle, engaging a hole or recess 6 in the other end of the head. The pointed screw 2 screws into the threaded hole in the part 4. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification, shown in Fig. 3 (Cancelled), in which the point 3 is on the end of a rod 2<1> passing through the handle, and having a screwed end engaging a nut 14 rotatably mounted on the end of the handle. By rotation of the nut 14 the rod 2<1> is moved longitudinally to engage the point 3 with the head 5, or to disengage it. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
