Driving-chains, adjusting.-The spindle of the driving-wheel engages in the fork of the piece B, which slides freely on the screw A and is held in its adjusted position by a nut C. The slot in the piece B may be of the same size as the nut or longer for convenience of manipulation, or, according to the Provisional Specification, the nut may bear on the end of the piece B and be kept in position by an overhanging lug.
