Abstract

161,878. K³hn, P. June 30, 1920. Dental and like engines. - A handpiece for holding instruments comprises a socket a, a detachable handle c, and a detachable bracket b. The bracket, which is shaped to the socket a, Fig. 3, has an aperture d through which the handle c is passed before being fixed to the socket, and the bracket at the upper end is formed with a bush e which serves as a bearing for the pinion which drives the tool f. The tool f is held in position in the known manner by a slide h which is provided with a notched end i adapted to engage a groove in the shank of the tool.
