Abstract

257,235. Wehli, M. Aug. 24, 1925. [Convention date]. Carding - engines; openers &c. - A grid of the kind described in Specification 109,444 is provided with a cleaning knife 7 secured to the cross-piece 3. The cross-piece is pivoted on the grid frame and is secured in its adjusted position by a screw 5 engaging in a slot 6 in a lug 3<1> on the cross-piece. The knife 7 is adjustably secured by screws 8 to the front of the crosspiece. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the knife 7 may be in one or several pieces. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
