257,199. Meyercord, G. R. April 20, 1926. Doors and door frames; draught excluders; window frames.-Channel-shaped framing for the doors and joints of refrigerators &c. and for panels &c. has elastic packing 7 fitted between the edge of the door &c. and the bottom of the channel, the sides of the channel being secured to the body of the door &c. by screws 8 which do not completely go through the material. A rabbeted part 6 of the channel is preferably packed with wood. Rubber packing 14 may be interposed between the rabbeted meeting edges of door and jamb. In metal lined doors &c. the channel may be welded to the lining or secured by nails or split rivets which are deflected by the lining opposite the side of entry. At corners, the channels are rabbeted but the packing is made continuous to avoid air leaks.
