Abstract

324,498. Pattinson, W. Jan. 4, 1929. Door bodies and jambs. - Insulated doors or doors of great thickness, such as doors for refrigerators, gas ovens, or air chambers, are caused to fit tightly against the frame by fitting thereto or to the frame a stiffening member or members to warp the door or frame in such manner that the door fastening or fastenings correct or remove the warp. For a door b having a fastening at its vertical centre, a spring steel strip a is fastened to the vertical side member so as to bend the door inwardly at top and bottom, the central fastening causing the door to flatten against the frame when closed.
