Abstract

255,907. Durr, F. July 27, 1925, [Convention date]. Cam-actuated pumps; regulating delivery by by-passes.-In a two-stroke engine in which the air for scavenging and combustion is delivered though a rotary valve 6. the fuel is injected through a nozzle 7, coaxial with the valve, in a contrary direction to the air current, by a pump driven in synchronism with the valve. A sprocket wheel 5 which is integral with the valve carries a cam 8 which actuates the pump plunger 10. The amount of fuel delivered is varied by a hand-controlled-rotary valve 13 having an eccentric groove 14 communicating with a by-pass 15.
