Abstract
255,359. Bergerioux, R. Nov. 30, 1925, [Convention date]. Addition to 244,705. Manure distributers.-The machine described in the parent Specification is modified by replacing the stirrer by radial arms and weighted chains &c., mounting the distributer and stirrer on the same shaft, and providing a variable driving-gear. The upper end of the shaft 17 of the scattering-device 18 is mounted in a bearing 65 constituting the boss of a disc 158 for driving the shaft 19<1> of the distributer 19. The shaft 17 is driven from one of the travelling wheels by chain gearing 32, 34, 35, spur gearing 37, shaft 39, and bevel gearing 40, 41. On the shaft 19<1> are short arms 155 and longs arms 150, the latter carrying flexible members 52 provided with balls 153, 154. The shaft 19' is driven from the second travelling wheel through chain gearing 47, 48, 49<1>, shaft 55, and a pinion 156 provided with studs to engage any one of a series of concentric rings of holes in the disc 158, the pinion 156 being moved by means of a fork 159. The pinion 156 and disc 158 may be replaced by a friction roller and disc.
