Abstract
254,803. Coetzee, J. F. April 9, 1925. Double and multiple acting pumps; valves, arrangement of.-In a double-acting pump the delivery from the lower end 11 of the barrel 2 passes through an annular passage 12 outside the barrel to a chamber 24 connected at 13 to the rising main. The lower delivery valve 10 and the upper inlet and delivery valves 7, 8 are hinged. In another form, two such pumps are coaxially arranged with the two pistons on a common rod, and the delivery from the lower pump passes through the annular passage outside the upper barrel.
