Abstract

264,940. McCallum, J., and Anderson, H. P. H. Oct. 31, 1925. Suction and delivery reservoirs; valves, arrangement of.-A delivery valve 4 and a suction valve 5, both coaxial with the pump barrel and coplaner with the plunger end are mounted in a casing 8 which supports the pump and is divided into suction and delivery chambers, and the whole valve structure is removable through an opening 21 in the side of the casing. The delivery valve comprises a sleeve 1 sliding- within a gland 6 supported on the partition 7, and is pressed against the pump end by a spring 13 held between the. flange of the valve and a collar 14 adjustably screwed on the gland 6. The 'stem of the inlet valve slides in a spider 16 integral with the sleeve 1, and is closed by a spring. The structure is enclosed in an outer casing containing heat-insulating material.
