Storing under pressure.- A container for a liquefied gas such as carbon-dioxide, for fireextinguishing, is closed by a thin metal disc f which is held in a recess in the outlet head b by a screwed ring h and is pierced by a sliding strilcer i normally raised by a spring m. The head h may be in two parts united at c and the striker i carries a collar n which is urged into gas-tight engagement with a packing disc on a bush o by the spring m. The outlet branch d is flanged at s for the attachment of a tube or fitting in which the gas is converted, by its rapid expansion, into solid or snow form. This tube may be arranged parallel to the container and be so attached to it as to constitute a handle.
