Kinematograph appa.ratus. - A motordriven projector is completely enclosed in a metal casing, and any door of the casing capable of being opened from the outside operates a switch to stop the motor and a switch to cut off or reduce the supply of current to the lamp. As shown, the casing comprises doors 2, 3 on one side, and two doors on the opposite side carried by spring hinges. The doors 3 may be opened from the outside, and carries contact springs 36. 37, respectively provided in the motor and lamp circuits and engaging contacts 38, 39. The other doors are capable of being opened from within the casing only, and lock automatically when closed. The projection opening in the front of the casing is provided with a hinged flap held open by an inflammable thread when the projector is in use, the motor 19 is covered by a shield 20, and the lamp chamber 17 has a flue 18 leading to the outside of the casing. A screen of toughened glass is provided between the lamp and the condenser. A motorcontrolling resistance 32, a main switch 31, and two switches operated by a single knob, and controlling the motor and lamp circuits, are provided on the casing. Fig. 7 shows the wiring connections between the parts referred to. A resistance 35 which is separate from the projector is included in the lamp circuit when the door 2 is open, and is short-circuited when the door is closed.
