Abstract

336,114. Bechaz, A. Oct. 24, 1929. Kinematograph apparatus.-Electric contacts are normally held open both by the film in a projector and by a driving belt, so that breakage of either the film or the belt will cause at least one pair of contacts to be closed to actuate a main switch whereby the projecting lamp is extinguished, lights in the theatre switched on and the motor stopped. The switch 25 is held open by the driving belt 22 and the switches 12, 15 by the film 11. Closure of either of these switches energizes an electromagnet 17 which withdraws a detent 19 thus allowing the spring 32 to open switches 7, 33 in the lamp and power circuits respectively, and close a switch 8 in the theatre lighting circuit.
