Abstract

Winding-machines; thread guides. - In winding artificial silk with the aid of a jet of liquid, preferably precipitating liquid, which carries the material with it, the material and the freely flowing liquid c are conveyed by a tube b as near as possible to the bobbin a so that the liquid is deflected slightly in a direction reverse from that of the rotation of the bobbin and the filament contacts with the bobbin at a point e. whereby the regularity of the winding is not affected by the jet. The arrangement may be used in stretch spinning. Either the bobbin or the tube may be reciprocated to lay the filament.
