364,496. Bobbins &c. CLAERHOUDT, G. N. L., 2, Route de Sirault, Leuze, Belgium. May 29, 1931, No. 15776. [Class 120 (iii).] Bobbins on which yarn or thread is wound and subsequently drawn off axially, have a shank formed with a diametrical slot or two at right-angles, in which knots in the thread may be housec during winding, so that they dc not obstruct the free passage of the thread in unwinding. A bottle bobbin 1 is provided with a diametrical slot 2 extending from the apex of the bobbin tc near the point of the spindle 3. The slot is preferably ¢ cm. wide and has its edges rounded.
