248,099. Vignon, H. Dec. 3, 1924. Cells; electrodes; electrolytes.-The. electrolyte 7 of a dry cell is placed in a dry form above the absorbent material 2 and depolarizer 3. The zinc container 1 projects at the top of the cell to form a receptacle 6 into which water is poured when the cell is required for use. A perforated washer 8 keeps the electrolyte in position. The upper part of the container 1 is coated with paraffin 9 and is surrounded by a rubber ring 11 serving as adistance piece to separate adjacent cells. The connections 4<a>, 12 to the carbon and zinc electrodes are made at the opposite ends of the cell, which is provided with a wax coating 13.
