Driving arrangements.- In electrically driven ring spinning and doubling frames wherein cams c<1>, c<2> operate a system of levers connected to the regulator of the motor and respectively impart thereto the motions necessary to give the speed variations corresponding to the reciprocation and to the translation of the ring rail, devices are embodied in the lever mechanism whereby the motions imparted by the cams may be varied during the operation of the frame. The amplitude of the periodic change of speed corresponding to the rise and fall of the ring rail is varied by adjusting the lever arm m by means of a screw f interposed between the lever a, which is connected to the regulator by a lever b and is oscillated by the lever c, and the lever d, the position of which is determined by the cam e<2>. The basic speed of the motor is adjusted by varying the relative position of the arm p, which is operated by the cam e<1>. and the main lever c by means of a screw n. The position of the fulcrum of the lever c may be adjusted by a slide or by a cam s, Fig. 4.
