Abstract

Earth - continuity couplings. - In junction boxes for lead covered cables the cable outlets and inlets are provided with packing members in the form of rings 1 wholly or partly covered with soft metal such as lead capsules 2 and clamped between a screwed tube-piece 5 in the wall 4 of the box and the lead covering 3 by a sleeve 7 and ring 6 screwing on the tube-piece 5. The packing member thus ensures a tight joint and efficient continuity between the box and cable sheath.
